Next-generation heirs, globally and in Singapore, are thought to prefer switching bankers after they inherit the family fortune, but this is not found to be the case.

In its first global report on next-generation wealth holders, Swiss bank UBS found that a majority of heirs value advisory relationships established by the older generation.

The report by the world’s largest private bank showed that 51 per cent of respondents indicated a preference to continue working with either the same wealth manager as their parents or another adviser within the same institution.
